Why trust

Our Country is in a Crisis of Play.

• Elementary children arguing and tantrumming playing tag on the school playground 
• Middle school youth on the sideline tripping an opponent sprinting on the track 
• High school youth in full gear blind-siding a referee during a stopped play in a Football game •College young adults punching an opponent in the face in the handshake line 
• Adults threatening and perpetrating violence to the point of concussion, broken bones, and, in one case, death 

And it’s only getting worse.

• Players are quitting. Coaches are quitting. Officials are quitting.  
• Games and Tournaments are decreasing. 
• Scholarship opportunities are disappearing. 

The sanctity of sports is disintegrating. 

Right before our eyes.

There is hope.

People are leading and inspiring.

Groups are discussing and planning.

Workshops and programs are happening. 

But there is more we must do.

To celebrate, highlight, support, broaden, and center these efforts. 

Together. We must TRUST.

To resolve this crisis, we must TRUST.

TRUST is a clear, unified, pervasive, and sustainable message of Trust, Respect, Unity, Support, and Teaching through sports.

Trust in each other to do what is responsible and right.

Respect and appreciate our differences.

Unite in our commonalities – especially our love for the game.

Support and hold each other accountable in and out of the arena.

Teach and instill in each other strength of character and peacefulness.

• Uses Ambassador Model to advocate for a clear, unified, pervasive, and sustainable message of Trust, Respect, Unity, Support, and Teaching through sports 
• Focuses on social, emotional, mental, and behavioral health and wellness; and on character and community building to create more respectful and inclusive communities and environments 
• Celebrates, appreciates, highlights, broadens, and centers the scope of existing and developing sports and life enhancement initiatives and programs 
• Identifies and Collaborates with organizations and individuals whose purpose and actions align with TRUST and who can serve as Ambassadors 
• Invites children, youth, adults, parents, families, coaches, mentors, players, teams, sports officials, schools, educators, community centers, businesses, elected officials, civic leaders, community leaders, and community members to TRUST
